ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you wanting to relocate to the beautiful and culturally rich New Zealand? 

Our client in the picturesque North Island are looking for Medical Registrars and have two positions available – Oncology cancer and blood services, and team department of medicine. Both roles start in January 2023 for 6 month contracts 

 First position in oncology –
Hours of Work –
Short Day (Mon-Fri) 0800-1630
Long Day (Mon-Fri) 0800-2230
Weekend Long Day (Sat-Sun) 0800-2230
The Registrar will work an average of 6 long day weekdays (0800-2230) and 1 full weekend (0800-2230) over the duration of a 6-week roster, which will be averaged over a 12-month period. For each complete weekend day shift worked, a rostered day off will be schedule for the Registrar attached to a weekend.

During ordinary hours, the Registrar will be available for acute and arranged admissions for the team during ordinary hours when rostered on-call. The Registrar will provide an average of 7 long days which includes 2 complete weekends, 6 swing shifts and an average of 7 night shifts over the duration of a 12-week roster, which will be averaged over a 12-month period. For each complete weekend day shift worked, a rostered day off will be schedule for the Registrar, and will be attached to a weekend. Night duties work on a split four-night and three-night basis. The first set will commence on Monday night for four consecutive night periods. The second set will begin on a Friday night consecutively for three nights

You must hold qualifications that meet the criteria with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
