ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is after a permanent Emergency Medicine Registrar starting January 2023 

Work Hours:
Days 0800-1800
PM 1500-0100
Nights 2230-0830

The roster will rotate over an 8 week cycle. The cycle will consist of 6 weeks of rostered shifts followed by 2 weeks of relief shifts to cover planned and unplanned absences from the roster. Over the course of the 6 week, rostered portion of the cycle the registrar will be required to cover 7 night shifts, 7 day shifts and 9 PM shifts. When the roster does not require cover for absent registrars, the registrar rostered to the relief week will be required to cover other shifts as determined by the service.

This Hospital is the major specialist hospital for the region and it’s services include surgical, medical, intensive care, coronary care, paediatrics, psychiatry, oncology, renal, obstetrics, emergency, outpatient clinics, community assessment, rehabilitation and mental health as well as being the base for extensive community based services.
