ABOUT THE ROLE
Situated in the sunny eastern coast of New Zealand’s North Island, our client can offer vast golden sand beaches, bush clad mountains, lush farmlands and more. The catchment area is spread across a vast geographical area and centred across two hospitals based. They serve a population of approximately 259,000 for the major population centres and is one of largest employers with over 4000 staff.
About the Role
The location is New Zealand’s fastest growing city and as a result it is time for them to grow their team of Psychiatrists so we can continue to provide a high level of care. They currently have a permanent full-time position available in their Perinatal Infant Maternal Mental Health team.
This role will provide specialist input in the area of Perinatal Infant Maternal Mental Health, working in the multi-disciplinary community based within Maternal, Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health service (MICAMHS).
The Maternal Mental health team forms one of four sub-teams in the Child and Adolescent mental health service. The Maternal Mental Health Professionals work alongside the Infant Mental Health Clinician, as well as the interagency response to conduct disorders team in delivering a comprehensive service to mothers, infants and their family/wh?nau.
This is a permanent 0.6FTE position, working 48 hours per fortnight.

About You
Criteria for this position:
- You need to be a Vocationally Registered Psychiatrist with the Medical Council of NZ or be eligible for this.
- Have fellowship with the RANZCP or the equivalent is essential.
- A passion for working with those suffering addictions and someone who enjoys teaching and training others in this area.
