ABOUT THE ROLE

A position is available for an experienced GP in Rolleston Canterbury.  Ideally you would be keen to work 3-4 shifts per week with a mix of mornings and evenings, along with working at the Pegasus 24 hour Medical Centre. 
This medical centre is open 8am – 8pm weekdays and 9am – 12pm Saturdays. Shifts are 8am – 2pm or 2pm – 8pm (negotiable to an 8-hour shift if required). A Saturday shift 9am – 12pm once approximately every 4-6 weeks is also required.

It has a large proportion of young families which is also reflected in the practice.

  • Compassionate and dedicated to patient-focussed care.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with minor surgery would be an advantage.
  • Experience with Indici PMS would be an advantage although full training will be given.
  • Happy to work morning or evening shifts, along with occasional Saturdays.
  • You will be able to competently manage the occasional emergency.
  • Excellent time management, 15 minute appointments are critical.
  • Someone who is keen to be a “team player”, they want to make connections with their staff and they want their staff to enjoy coming to work.
  • A calm demeanour and sense of humour go a long way!
