ABOUT THE ROLE

Consultant Psychiatrist – Acute Adult Inpatient

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join their team. If you are interested in creative treatment planning, working with families/whaanau, and participating in the development of recovery-oriented interventions that are culturally relevant to our service users, their families, and their communities then take the opportunity to come and be part of our Mental & Addictions Health Services workforce that is value driven, engaged and supported.

Their new inpatient unit is the first of its kind in New Zealand and is equipped to assist us with providing better care for our community. Their new building maximizes natural light and has safe inner garden courtyards and therapeutic areas and is the largest inpatient unit in the region.

About the Hospital

Located near one of our main cities the hospital is a major public hospital with over 800 beds and offers secondary-level (hospital and specialist) care and a selected range of community and domiciliary services to the area.

They also provide niche specialist tertiary services for regional and national consumers in orthopaedic and plastic surgery, burns, spinal injury rehabilitation, renal dialysis, and neonatal intensive care.
