Our clients are seeking Consultant Psychiatrists to join their team and are interested to hear from Psychiatrist with different subspecialities.  You will be motivated, enthusiastic, and a highly professional Doctor, who is ready to work as part of a dynamic team, delivering quality equity-focused mental health care.   

The Consultant Psychiatrist leads our medical teams, and acts as a role model for high standards of care by supporting an environment where excellence can flourish.

They are  looking for someone who can demonstrate a genuine commitment to the people who they serve, within the diverse and culturally rich community.   You will demonstrate, excellent communication skills, be highly organised, and possess honesty, integrity and professionalism. You will need to have the ability to promote teamwork and navigate through the challenges of providing complex care to whaiora with complex presentations, by promoting a strong team culture and function, and a genuine focus on equitable health systems and outcomes. 

Supported by the leadership team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to strategic and service development. Working alongside the Service Manager, Acute & Hospital Services, the Clinical Head and members of the Senior Leadership Team, you will support implementation of service goals, and grow a workplace of excellence, by applying the latest evidence to inform the model of care.

Vocational registration with the Medical Council of NZ in the scope of Psychiatry and a current APC is essential at commencement of employment.
