ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is seeking Orthopaedic Registrar Locum cover for various times throughout 2024. 

Travel and accommodation is included and booked by Triple0 for you. 

You’ll be part of a dedicated team providing comprehensive elective general orthopaedic services, including 24-hour Orthopaedic Trauma and Orthopaedic Emergency call. There are 2 trainees and 4 non-trainee positions as well as a trauma senior house officer.

You will have the opportunity to work in a modern facility and provide healthcare to a large geographical area, ensuring your exposure to a wide range of work.  

The scope of your work will be varied and will include exposure to a range of subspecialties including: 

•    Diverse and complex trauma from ski and mountain bike fields
•    Primary and revision joint replacement of the hip, knee and shoulder
•    Elective and trauma Paediatric surgery, hand surgery as well as general Orthopaedic cover

Built in late 2004, this secondary level 4 base hospital services a population base of approx. 100,000 providing acute medical and surgical, outpatient clinics, day procedures, 24-hour emergency department, comprehensive ancillary facilities including laboratory, medical imaging, medical diagnostics, specialist paediatric, maternity, rehabilitation and therapy services. On average per year this Hospital sees 30,000 Emergency Department attendances, 5,000 theatre operations 1100 births and 17,000 discharges. This hospital is well equipped for its size and features digital radiology technology with MRI and CT capability as well as electronic patient management system.
